Dalarna University Borlänge

Bachelor in International Tourism Management , Borlänge

Who is a tourist? Why do they visit particular destinations? How can we create sustainable practices and places? Do you question the way the world works and want to know how tourism can help people, what tourism can do for communities and what the challenges for the future of tourism are? If so, you are encouraged to apply to our Bachelor's Programme in International Tourism Management and become a part of an international community.

The focus of the programme is to provide you with the knowledge to succeed. You will be offered a balanced combination of theoretical knowledge and applied practical examples. You will work with destinations to plan for the future; will visit heritage sites and think about how these sites present themselves to the public; and learn through real examples of research being undertaken in Sweden, Europe and the rest of the world. You are also expected to go on exchange – what better way to experience tourism than by travelling and learning as part of your studies?

Join Our International Community

If you are interested in working at an international level within the tourism industry or with sustainable tourism, then you are strongly encouraged to apply. Our graduates work in a variety of fields in positions such as regional tourism officer, event organiser and management consultant. You need to have completed your upper-secondary studies within any area of study. Further, you must be able to demonstrate a strong level of English proficiency.
